Mission:
To develop innovative educational, career development and training programs that provide the very low skilled to the highly skilled dislocated worker with career pathways that promote continuous learning, self- sufficiency and a skilled workforce that reflect the needs of Northeast Ohio. 

Vision:
To provide a community based and focused center recognized for making large contributions at producing a skilled and diverse workforce for Northeast Ohio. 

Overview:
The Center for Career Pathways Development (CCPD) was established in 2005 in response to the Workforce Solution Division’s need to consolidate programs and streamline services to more effectively serve students and community members.

The center consists of the following programs:

  • Literacy Services (ABLE/GED)
  • Key Career Place (Career Center)
  • Community Based Programs

And also the following services:

  • ABLE  and GED classes
  • STNA Preparation classes
  • Job search workshops
  • Faith Based Initiative
  • Job placement assistance
  • Reentry Initiative
  • Career Assessments
  • Transition to College Initiative
  • Electronic Job Search Board

KEY CAREER PLACE AT THE UNIFIED TECHNOLOGIES CENTER (UTC)

Overview:

Key Career Place provides resources, services, workshops and training to link students, graduates and community job seekers with business that are willing to hire them for in-demand occupations. Key Career Place at the UTC specializes in serving community members and short-term training participants.

  • Job Placement Assistance
  • Interview Skills
  • Computer lab and faxes
  • Mock Interviews
  • Short term training information
  • Online Job Board
  • Funding information and referral
