Transfer from Tri-C

Tri-C students complete their Associate degree and then can choose to transfer their credits to a 4 year college or university to continue their studies towards a Bachelor degree. If that is your goal and to make sure all your credits transfer, you should:

  • Choose your major and the school to which you plan to transfer as soon as possible.
  • Meet with a Tri-C counselor to outline your course of study for transfer
  • Contact the admissions office where you want to transfer and learn the degree requirements for the degree you desire. Be aware that degree requirements vary from university to university as well as within the specific colleges and schools of a university.
  • Work closely with a Tri-C counselor and the admission representative at your intended transfer school for the most up to date information.
  • Speak to an admissions representative/advisor from the college/university at which you would like to complete your four year degree.  Please see the current list of schools that have scheduled Bachelor Completion Partnership Transfer Visits on our local campuses.

Options for successful transfer of Tri-C credits to a 4 year school:

  • Earn an associate degree while completing general education requirements that are covered during the first 2 years at most institutions
  • Follow the Ohio Transfer Module and TAG pathways for guaranteed transfer of the courses you take to any public institution in the state
  • Work closely with a Tri-C counselor to follow transfer guides and transfer agreements set up with our university partners
