Scholarships
Cuyahoga Community College has many scholarship and grant opportunities available to Tri-C students, including merit-based awardsfor students who excel in the classroom, as well as awards to play on a Tri-C athletic team or to serve on Student Government.

How to Apply for Tri-C Foundation Scholarships
The scholarship application process is as easy as 1 – 2 – 3.
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov and have it submitted to Tri-C using school code 003040.
- Download the scholarship application, complete and submit to the Student Financial Assistance Office.
- Relax and wait for contact from the Scholarship Director. Awards are made starting in June.
Grants
Unlike loans, grants do not have to be repaid. Generally, grants are need-based and are provided by the United States Department of Education or the state of Ohio. (Only those who complete their FAFSA prior to October 1 will be eligible for the OIG and OCOG programs)

In order to qualify for participation in these programs, a student must complete the FAFSA, which determines eligibility in the above mentioned grant programs, as well as the Federal Work-Study and Federal Stafford Loan programs. As such, any student who believes he may qualify for some type of financial assistance should complete the FAFSA online.
