Digital Video & Filmmaking 

Area of Study: Visual Communications & Design  
Degree/Certificate: Associate of Applied Business degree in Visual Communication & Design with a concentration in Digital Video 
Program Description

The Digital Video Program curriculum is based on professional standards drawn from the practices of advertising agencies, design studios, broadcast media and independent production companies and in-house or corporate media departments. It is a balance of both the technical and artistic aspects of digital filmmaking. You’ll develop studio, technical, and professional skills and build a strong and marketable portfolio with an emphasis in digital video production,editing and visual effects post-production.

Digital video productions are no longer limited to broadcast television and in-house corporate video audiences. Venues now include cell phones, iPods, online video and high-definition feature films. Integrated “desktop” solutions that utilize advancing digital technology, make producing motion media easier and less expensive than traditional film and television studios of the past.
