The Physician Assistant program at Tri-C leads to a Post-Degree Professional Certificate in Physician Assistant Studies and through a partnership with Cleveland State University, students also simultaneously earn a Master of Science in Health Sciences degree with a concentration in Physician Assistant Science.

PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT NATIONAL CERTIFICATION EXAM (PANCE):
To attain the PA-C designation, you must pass the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE). PANCE is a computerized, multiple-choice test that comprises 360 questions that assess basic medical and surgical knowledge. In order to take the PANCE, you must graduate from a program accredited by the ARC-PA as a Physician Assistant Program or a Surgeon Assistant Program. PA program graduates will be deemed to have graduated from an accredited program if their PA educational program was accredited at the time of their matriculation. Click on the link to view:
CUYAHOGA COMMUNITY COLLEGE'S PANCE PASS RATES
The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation-Continued status to the Cuyahoga Community College/Cleveland State University Physician Assistant Program sponsored by Cuyahoga Community College. Accreditation-Continued is an accreditation status granted when a currently accredited program is in compliance with the ARC-PA Standards.
Accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the Standards. The approximate date for the next validation review of the program by the ARC-PA will be March 2017. The review date is contingent upon continued compliance with the Accreditation Standards and ARC-PA policy.
