The Physician Assistant Program at Tri-C:
The Physician Assistant (PA) profession is one of the most exciting health careers in the forefront of health care today and one of the fastest growing occupations in Ohio. There is a growing demand for qualified PAs and Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) can get you started in this rewarding career field where the average starting salary for first-year graduates is $77,000!
The Physician Assistant program at Tri-C leads to a Post-Degree Professional Certificate in Physician Assistant Studies and through a partnership with Cleveland State University, students also simultaneously earn a Master of Science in Health Sciences degree with a concentration in Physician Assistant Science.
Our program has a state of the art lab with two simulated operating rooms, a seven bed simulation clinic, a virtual practice room, and a Human Patient Simulator lab with Standardized Patient rooms that provide our students virtual and hands on training during the didactic phase.

PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT NATIONAL CERTIFICATION EXAM (PANCE):
To attain the PA-C designation, you must pass the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE). PANCE is a computerized, multiple-choice test that comprises 360 questions that assess basic medical and surgical knowledge. In order to take the PANCE, you must graduate from a program accredited by the ARC-PA as a Physician Assistant Program or a Surgeon Assistant Program. PA program graduates will be deemed to have graduated from an accredited program if their PA educational program was accredited at the time of their matriculation. Click on the link to view:
