Massotherapy - Certificate
The post-degree professional certificate is for students who already have an associate or bachelor's degree and want to become licensed massotherapists. Students complete over 1,000 Massotherapy instruction hours and are eligible to take the State Medical Board of Ohio licensure exam and the National Board Certification exam (NCBTMB).
This program is designed to prepare students to demonstrate the following program outcomes:

Program Admission Requirements: Application may be submitted to the Health Careers Enrollment Center after meeting the following requirements:
- High School Graduate/GED. Official transcripts are to be mailed to the Massotherapy Program with a completed Preliminary Education Application Form and a $35 check made out to the State Medical Board of Ohio.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree required.
- Complete the following (“C” or higher in each):
- MT-1100
- MT-1241
- GPA required: 2.50 admission requirements. 2.50 overall
- 25 students accepted per year for day classes and 25/yr for evening classes (combined total for degree and certificate)

Other Information:
- Science courses must have been completed within the past seven years at time of application submission, and may only be repeated once to improve a grade.
- Core courses may only be repeated once to improve a grade.
- Interview with program manager encouraged.
- Upon acceptance to the program and prior to matriculation, students must submit evidence of good health.
- Preliminary Educational Approval Certificate from State Medical Board MUST be submitted prior to acceptance.
- Official college transcripts must be submitted to the Massotherapy program prior to admittance.
- A criminal background check may be required prior to admission to the program.
