1. How do I enter the Environmental, Health & Safety Technology program at Tri-C?

There is no formal process to be admitted into the program, but interested students are strongly encouraged to meet with the program manager to discuss general questions associated with the program and how to select and schedule the right courses.

2. I’m not interested in a full EHST degree, just a few courses to help me in my EH&S work. Can I enroll in classes without entering the program?

Certainly! You may take as few or as many of the courses as you wish. However, even if you don’t intend on entering the program, we still strongly encourage you to meet with the program manager to discuss your goals and objectives in taking EHST courses.

3. Are EH&S non-credit certification courses available through the program?

All non-credit EH&S training courses—the 8-hour HAZWOPER Refresher, for instance—are now offered through the Institute for Organizational Excellence, a program of Tri-C’s Corporate College.
