If you are not already an active Tri-C student, you must first apply to the college. If you are interested in more than one health careers program, you must submit a separate health careers application for each program. You may only apply to three programs at one time.
The Dietetic Technology Program at Tri-C:
Graduates of the Dietetic Technology Program can become Nutrition and dietetic technicians, registered (NDTRs),and are trained in food and nutrition and are an integral part of the health-care and foodservice management teams. This program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Dietetic Technology Mission Statement and Philosophy:
The mission of the Dietetic Technology Program is to offer an educational program for individuals from multicultural and diverse backgrounds who aspire to enter the dietetic technician profession. Through didactic and practical experience, the curriculum prepares the student to become entry-level nutrition and dietetic technicians, registered. The program seeks to develop, cultivate and assist the student in the development of knowledge, skills and ethical conduct.
Dietetic Technology Program Goals:
- Goal 1: The Dietetic Technology Program will prepare the student to practice as an Entry Level Nutrition and Dietetic Technicians (NDTR).
- Goal 2: Engagement in Multicultural Community: The Dietetic Technology Program will participate in Public Health and Community Nutrition activities to enable our Students and graduates to develop a commitment to improve the overall quality of life in a multicultural community.
