Background:
The State of Ohio is facing many economic challenges, due in large part to increased globalization and the loss of jobs in major manufacturing industries that were long the linchpin of the State's economy.  As a result, much of our existing labor force is now required to learn new technologies that make themselves more marketable in a global economy.

Being in the heart of the industrial belt that has been hit hard by these changes, Cuyahoga Community College and Corporate College both recognize the need to establish a paradigm shift in the way that many of our young people think about job opportunities. That paradigm shift involves developing an entrepreneurial spirit that embraces change, seeks opportunities, takes risks, and develops leaders.

Tri-C recognizes the opportunity is NOW to bring together individuals and institutions who can transform the wealth of experience, practices, and expertise to ensure the success for our next generation of business leaders.

The purpose of ad-Ventures is to bring together small business managers, aspiring entrepreneurs, educational institutions, and State and local Government to ensure that we are working together to develop an environment that will allow small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs to succeed.
