Bricklaying Program at Tri-C

Area of Study:
Applied Industrial Technology (Bricklaying) Apprenticeship Program
Degree/Certificate: Associate of Applied Science degree in Applied Industrial Technology with a concentration in Bricklaying

Students must currently be working in a registered apprenticeship program in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training.

The apprenticeship program prepares the student to earn a journey-level status in Bricklaying, as well as an Associate of Applied Science degree in Applied Industrial Technology. A 3-year apprenticeship emphasizes the skill set required to be a highly skilled craftsman.

Bricklaying is the art and craft of building and fabricating in stone and brick. Bricklayers work in a variety of construction settings building chimneys, partitions and walls, working with stone, cinder and gypsum block, and brick. The work requires physical stamina, a solid mathematical sense, and an artistic eye.

This program is designed to prepare students to demonstrate the following program outcomes:  Applied Industrial Technology (Bricklaying) Degree Outcomes
