Acting and Auditioning for Camera With James Madio
Cleveland has become a legitimate film production destination within the last decade and is poised to become an even bigger player in the years to come. Those who are serious about pursuing acting as a career need to obtain not only proficiency in their craft, but a working knowledge of film sets and the film industry. Acting and Auditioning for Camera is led by veteran Hollywood actor/writer/producer James Madio. In this workshop, students will learn how to choose proper auditioning materials, develop characters and perform monologues, as well as the importance of scene work and the essentials of auditioning. After six weeks, actors will finish the class with an audition in front of James Madio and local casting director Lillian Pyles, a member of the Casting Society of America. Students will receive a professionally recorded and edited digital copy of their final audition that can be used for industry submission.
