Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) provides free comprehensive support services to eligible U.S. veterans interested in pursuing a college program of study at any college in Ohio. Support services are designed to help veterans’ complete preparatory coursework, increase their access to college, develop academic skills, and remain enrolled in and graduate from a program of postsecondary education.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Low income and/or first generation college student (neither parent has a bachelor's degree)
- US military veterans and reservists who served at least 180 days active duty other than for training in the U.S. armed forces (waiver available for recently discharged combat veterans)
- Military discharge other than dishonorable (DD214 required)

Veterans College Access Program (VCAP): Now at Eastern and Western Campuses!
- Academic Enrichment
- 9 week developmental refresher courses in mathematics, English, science and basic computer skills
- Summer Accelerated Academic Enrichment
- 6 week developmental refresher courses
- Personal Enrichment Workshops
- College study skills, time and stress management, life-role planning, career exploration, personal financial planning, VA services, and basic computer skills workshops.
