Upward Bound Math/Science 

The Upward Bound Math/Science program will empower participants

to take control of their future and become actively engaged in their education!

Upward Bound Math/Science (UBMS) is a federally-funded grant program delivered at NO COST to high school students and parents/guardians. UBMS is designed to assist high school students interested in a math or science related career in achieving success in their secondary and post-secondary education. 

Serving: 9th-12th Grade High School Students

Eligiblity Requirements: Enrolled in grades 9-10; Low-income, potential first-generation college students attending Lincoln-West and East High schools; Citizen or permanent resident of the United States.

UBMS, a pre-college program, serves students throughout the academic year and summer component offering many opportunities to advance and succeed. Services include (and are not limited to):

    • Math and science 21st Century integrated curriculum
    • Tutorial Services
    • Year-round counseling/advising
    • Computer Training
    • OGT & SAT/ACT Test Preparation
    • Study Skills
    • Scientific research guided by education/industry professionals
    • Exposure to faculty
    • Workshops (for students and parents/guardians)

    • 6-week summer program Tri-C

    • Bridge Program -- Graduating seniors attend one-semester at Tri-C and earn college credit FREE
