CLEVELAND – The Health Information Management Technology (HIMT) program at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) received continuing accreditation following a quality review of its Annual Program Assessment Report (APAR) by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). There were no issues found with the report, with several areas being highly regarded by the CAHIIM.
CAHIIM rated the Tri-C HIMT program’s graduate placement and student satisfaction rates as excellent. The program successfully placed 80 percent of its 35 graduates in 2010 with a satisfaction mark of 87.5 percent.
Employer satisfaction with Tri-C HIMT graduates was even more impressive. All 10 employers who responded to the survey (12 total were surveyed) were completely satisfied with the graduates.
Graduate performance on the Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification exam was rated “very good.” Ninety-five percent of graduates who take the RHIT certification exam pass on their first attempt.
