PARMA – Parma resident Evgeny Kasperovich was recently named a 2009-2010 Distinguished Academic All-American by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).

Kasperovich is a third-year student in the Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) theater arts and drama program, captain of the College’s soccer team, a Phi Theta Kappa member and a student ambassador at the Western Campus. He was recently placed on the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference All-Academic Team and received a varsity award from the athletic department in 2009.

“Tri-C provided me with a very affordable education and the soccer coach, Devan Anderson, was interested in me and helped me become a Tri-C student,” says Kasperovich, who plays for a Ukrainian soccer team in Cleveland and frequently helps his coach with teaching kids how to play.

Upon graduation, Kasperovich plans on transferring to New York University’s Tisch School of Drama to further pursue his dream career.

“My goal is to become the greatest artist, performer and actor,” says Kasperovich.
