Women in Transition Program to Start New Session at Tri-C Campuses

HIGHLAND HILLS – Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) Women in Transition (WIT) program will begin its free eight-week fall program at each of the College campuses October 19-20.

WIT helps women who are in various facets of transition to become empowered to move from dependency to self-sufficiency. Day and evening courses are offered in personal development, career exploration, basic computer instruction and a variety of workshops.

In addition, WIT programming covers:
• Financial aid and academic advising
• GED information
• Workshops to define and strengthen life management skills
• Support groups
• Information, resources and referrals to appropriate community college services and appropriate external resources and agencies
• Pre-employment skills including resume writing, cover letters, interviewing and presentation skills

Day courses begin October 19 at the Eastern Campus (4250 Richmond Road in Highland Hills) and October 20 at the Metropolitan (2900 Community College Avenue in Cleveland) and Western Campuses (11000 Pleasant Valley Road in Parma). Evening courses start October 19 at the Metropolitan Campus and October 20 at the Eastern Campus.

Parking is available in designated visitor lots on each Tri-C campus for $1 for a two-hour time block, or a hangtag permit can be purchased for 75 cents.
