PARMA – Cuyahoga Community College offers two separate obedience sessions this summer, Dog Obedience Training and Puppy Kindergarten, for you and your furry friend. Both sessions will be held at the Western Campus, 11000 Pleasant Valley Road, Parma.

Dog Obedience Training is for dogs 7 months to 5 years old. Classes will concentrate on basic commands (sit, stay, come, etc.), behavioral issues, and more. Training tips will be provided and guest speakers will be scheduled.  Classes are August 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21 and 22 from 7:30 – 8:30 p.m.; and August 9 from 10 – 11 a.m.  Veterinary records of up-to-date vaccinations are required. The fee for eight classes is $90. The Course Registration Number (CRN) is 54346.

Puppy Kindergarten, for puppies 10 weeks to 6 months old, will concentrate on teaching basic manners and commands, and will address typical problems like biting and nipping. Play sessions will be included to help build your puppy’s confidence. Classes will be August 5, 7, 12, 14, 19 and 21 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. The fee for six classes is $75. The CRN is 54345.
