CLEVELAND – Corporate College, a division of Cuyahoga Community College, hosted training for 80 Ohio Army National Guardsmen from Company B, 1st Battalion, 145th Armored Regiment on June 9 and 10. Use of the computer lab at Corporate College East, 4400 Richmond Road, Warrensville Heights, was donated to provide guardsmen with the opportunity to complete documentation training necessary for mobilization and deployment.
“Corporate College is proud of the men and women who serve our country, and whenever possible, we try to partner with groups representing troops, reservists and veterans. Donating use of our facilities is just one of many ways Corporate College and Tri-C support the community,” stated Amy Janos, facility sales and events manager for Corporate College.
Sgt. Douglas M. Lundblad, representing Company B, visited Corporate College a day after the event to present Amy Janos with a framed thank you letter. “Company B, 1st Battalion, 145th Armor Regiment in Cleveland and the Ohio National Guard would like to thank the Corporate College team for their hospitality. The use of the facility’s computer labs provided the soldiers essential training, which has enhanced our ability to respond in support of our federal, state and community missions,” said Lundblad. “Your services proved to be an invaluable tool for the readiness of our unit. We appreciate your professionalism and true demonstration of American pride in support of Ohio’s Citizen-Soldiers.”
