CIEE: Council on International Educational Exchange
     Offers study abroad opportunities.  CIEE Study Center has programs in 29 countries around the world. Under the Student Link it offers a section on Fact and Myths about studying abroad and a section on How to choose a Program.

     This site lists study abroad programs. Search by country or by subject. It includes sections on intensive language programs, work/internship programs, and travel resources.

Transitions Abroad
     Clicking on the "Work", "Study", "Travel", or "Living" links at the top of the page will give you access to articles, available programs, purchasing information for other resources, and web links which are categorized and annotated. Also includes full-text access to the magazine Transitions Abroad.

"InternationEd.org is a website for Asia Society's initiative to improve K-12 teaching and learning about the geography, history, economics, culture and language of other world regions."

     Lists study abroad programs which can be searched by subject or location as well as special databases for language courses and internships/volunteer programs.

Institute of International Education
     The institution promotes closer educational relations between the people of the United States and other countries by developing and administering programs like the Fulbright Program.  Some of the website features include: the Study Abroad Search Engine, which allows to search for international education opportunities by country, language, or subject; IIENetwork - a membership website for IIE, with Articles/Papers by Region or Thematic Area; Open Doors is an annual publication with comprehensive statistical information on the international students in the United States and on U.S. students who study abroad.

     Gives students the opportunity to learn about new people and new places through study in another part of the United States

Basic Facts Regarding Financial Aid for Study Abroad  
     Charles Gliozzo from Michigan State University has written an overview of how to use financial aid and scholarships for study abroad.

Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program
     This scholarship provides awards for US undergraduate students who are receiving federal Pell Grant funding at a 2-year or 4-year college or university to participate in study abroad programs worldwide.

Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarships
     The Rotary Foundation provides a scholarship program for study abroad. Scholarships are available for all levels of study, Application possible only through local Rotary Clubs.
