George Stephanopoulos Speaks at Tri-C Foundation Presidential Scholarship Luncheon

The Tri-C Foundation was pleased to welcome George Stephanopoulos, ABC News Chief Washington Correspondent and Anchor of This Week with George Stephanopoulos, as keynote speaker of the 17th annual Presidential Scholarship Luncheon.  The Luncheon took place on Tuesday, October 13 at the Cleveland Renaissance Hotel.  For more information about the Luncheon, click here

The Cuyahoga Community College Foundation supports the mission of Tri-C as the place “Where Futures Begin” through fundraising activities that support scholarships and educational program development and enhancement.  To learn about the scholarships available to students at Tri-C, or to apply for scholarships, please visit Tri-C's scholarship page.   

As a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization, the Tri-C Foundation receives tax deductible donations from foundations, individuals, corporations, and other organizations to support Cuyahoga Community College.


Accomplishments

• Raised more than $6.4 million to date through the Presidential Scholarship Luncheon, attended annually by over 1,100 guests and considered one of the region’s premier charitable events   

• Raised more than $5 million in 2004-2006 with scholarship campaign, Invest in People: Support Scholarships for Student Success to respond to the critical need for scholarship support for Tri-C students.

• Exceeded $20 million goal in the Foundation’s first major gifts campaign, Invest in People: Build Tomorrow’s Workforce, in 2000-2002
