Personal Trainer Certification
This certification course prepares students to practice as a professional Personal Fitness Trainer. The course includes 16 hours of classroom learning, 16 hours of practical training, 4 hours of testing and a 30-hour internship to walk you into job opportunities. Topics include anatomy, biomechanics, exercise physiology, fitness testing and health assessment, nutrition, exercise prescription, equipment usage, special populations, legal and saftey issues.

Adventures in the Italian Language

Buongiorno! You’ve heard the language on television and movies, and now is your chance to begin your study of Italian and how to use it for conversation and basic understanding. This four-part course will help your comprehension, build vocabulary and prepare you to carry on an Italian conversation you can implement in daily living. Attention will be given to language, culture and grammar, all with the goal of helping you navigate your way through everyday living situations. The course will assume no prior knowledge of the language.

Travel Italy

Buon Viaggio! Join us for an Italian linguistic and culture adventure in preparation for that special trip to Italy. This course will increase comprehension and grammatical usage, especially in the types of travel situations you will encounter. We will examine foods, culture, geography and, of course, restaurant meal ordering, transportation, directions, greetings, medical and other
key phrases. A reference book will be included with the class.


Women's Self Defense: Shock, Scream, Run

This practical course is designed to build self-confidence by using a woman’s natural flexibility (rather than strength) to shock an assailant, scream in a way that draws attention, and run to safety. There will be warm-ups and cool-downs, and pairings will be used for actual practice. Add to the fun by inviting a friend.
