What Employees say about Diversity
 |
I am proud to work for an organization which values and promotes diversity the way Tri-C does. The College offers a variety of speakers, presentations and programs throughout the year that focus on different areas of diversity so that everyone can benefit in some way.
I am especially proud of our annual events such as the College-Wide Diversity Week Celebration, Disability Awareness Day, and Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration. We make it our goal to not only express by our words, but by our actions as well, that “Our Strength is our Diversity”. Each member of the College family has something unique to offer, based on their own life experiences. I applaud the College for creating an environment where those experiences can be shared and celebrated.

As a student, graduate and employee of Cuyahoga Community College, I greatly value the College’s diverse educational and professional growth opportunities. Additionally, the programming for many of the College’s events is very unique and well diversified in culture and content.
In the words of our President, Dr. Jerry Sue Thornton, "We are truly the Community's College".

Diversity is part of the fabric of Tri-C. It is demonstrated as part of the mission of Cuyahoga Community College and in the way we serve our community. As a large institution that responds quickly to the needs of its community Tri-C has been able to remain strong due to the ability to use the unique attributes that our staff and faculty contribute to the organization. From cultural influences to special knowledge and talents, we capitalize on the depth and breadth that each person brings.
Tri-C is also very willing to support efforts that allow under represented students feel at home and find a way to grow and expand. Among those groups we have the Hispanic Council and a variety of student clubs and organizations.
I enjoy working an environment that is enriched by the contributions of its members and I have seen how those contributions benefit the students we serve and transforms their lives. Diana Del Rosario Dean of Student Affairs Western Campus
