Web-based courses use the Internet for class interaction and assignments.
• Courses available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Complete assignments online in Blackboard.
• Tests and labs are taken online or on campus. Click on the CRN of the course using the online Course Search.
• Have access to a reliable computer less than 3 years old with a high speed Internet connection.
• Have good computer skills before taking a Web-based course.
Hybrid courses combine classroom instruction with computer-based learning, significantly reducing the amount of classroom time.
• Attend scheduled classroom meetings, usually once a week.
• Access an online course site in Blackboard.
• Have access to a reliable computer less than 3 years old with a high speed Internet connection.
• Have good computer skills before taking a computer-based course.
Cable College allows you to participate in "live" classroom instruction from home.
• View the course live on Tri-C's SmartTV or videostreamed over the Internet (requires high speed Internet connection), or watch recordings at a Tri-C Technology Learning Center.
• Participate in discussions via telephone and complete assignments.
• Tests are taken at Campus Assessment Centers.
Independent Learning courses are designed as alternatives to on-campus classroom instruction.
