Computers are available for student use in Tri-C's Technology Learning Centers.
We recommend the following configuration for your computer:
• 1 GHz or greater processor
• 512+ MB RAM
• 1G free disc space
• 17" monitor; 1024 x 768 resolution
• Broadband Internet connection
• CD/DVD Player
• Color Printer
Required Software:
• Operating System: Windows XP, Vista, or Mac OS X
• Browser: Internet Explorer 7.x , Firefox 2.x , or Safari. Check your browser.
• Word processing program (MS Office or MS Open Office (free). MS Works is not recommended.)
• Many software packages are free and linked from our site.
• Any additional software requirements will be detailed in the course information.
Cable College
• SmartTV is only available on Time Warner Cable Digital Channel 195 in the city of Cleveland; on Time Warner Cable Channel 24 in Brunswick; and on Cox Cable Digital Channel 200 in Broadview Heights, Brooklyn Heights, Fairview Park, Lakewood, Olmsted Falls, Olmsted Township, Parma, Parma Heights, Rocky River and Seven Hills.
• Video streaming of Cable College requires a high speed Internet connection.
