Theatres 

Three campus locations provide ongoing entertainment and lively productions. The college has produced hits such as Othello, The Tempest, Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, Crucible, Midsummer Night’s Dream, Man of LaMancha, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.

Western Campus also has an outdoor Romanesque amphitheater experience during the spring and summer semesters.

The Russian Comedy

The Russian Comedy is the story of Victor, an aspiring actor.  When his parents kick him out of the house, he falls in with the wrong crowd (Joseph Stalin and his Bolsheviks).  Victor embarks on an adventure that leads him to the Winter Palace where falls in love with Anastasia, the daughter of the Czar, and finally to America to realize his dream of being an actor.

A rollercoaster rendition of all of Shakespeare’s plays including, Hamlet forward, backwards, and sideways.  Shakespeare’s Histories become a football game, and Othello: a rap concert in this fast, furious, and funny production. 

Lone Star and Laundry and Bourbon

Laundry and Bourbon is the story of three small-town women, Elizabeth, Hattie and their nemesis Amy Lee Fullernoy. While sipping bourbon and coke, Elizabeth and Hattie gossip about their less-than-perfect husbands, the antics of their children and the memories of their wild youth.

Roy loves three things: this country, his beautiful wife, and his 1959 Pink Thunderbird Convertible - not necessarily in that order. Lone Star is Roy's story. It is a typical Texas night and Roy sets about to drink a case of beer while regaling Ray, his brother who worships him, with his military and sexual exploits.

A down-and out skid row floral assistant becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for fresh blood. One of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows of all time, this affectionate spoof of 1950s sci-fi movies has become a house-hold name, thanks to a highly successful film version and a score by the songwriting team of Howard Ashman and Alan Menken.

The annual dance concerts continue the tradition of exploring many styles and disciplines including, hip-hop, jazz, and modern dance.  Audiences will be treated to pieces by faculty members, as well as several student-choreographed pieces.
