Commencement Day Information

Parking for graduates will be available. One complimentary parking pass and a map will be available for each graduate at the campus Student Life office beginning Monday, April 23, 2018. On the day of Commencement, give this pass to the attendant when you enter the parking lot. Please note: Those without the Tri-C complimentary parking pass will be required to pay standard rates.
Graduates will be directed to the robing areas. Only graduates are permitted in the robing areas. Please do not bring personal belongings (e.g. purses, coats) to the robing areas as these areas are not secured. You may not march in the processional with your personal belongings.
Wear the tassel on the left side of your cap.
Advise your guests that photographs must be taken from the stands. Only official College photographers are permitted on the arena floor. Guests should be courteous and respectful of all those wishing to take photographs. Grad Images is the official photographer for the ceremony. The Processional. The academic procession starts in the sub-concourse area of the Wolstein Center and will proceed into the arena. When you reach your seat on the arena floor, please remain standing. Turn off your cell phones and other electronic devices before the ceremony.
Conferring of Degrees. Students will be recognized by name and academic honor as they walk across the stage. Students are asked to return to their seats after the conferring of degrees, and remain there for the remainder of the ceremony.
The Recessional. At the end of the ceremony, the academic procession leaves the arena in the reverse order of the processional. Diploma/certificate covers will be presented to you during the recessional. Please make prior arrangements with your guests on where you will meet them after the ceremony.
