Precision Machining Technology (PMT) 

Program Description

This program is designed to introduce the metalworking industry to mechanically inclined individuals with little or no previous machining experience. You will acquire the skills, knowledge and experience to produce precision parts by making tools for your own use. Once you are accepted into this program you will receive 8 hours of classroom and 16 hours of laboratory instruction per week.

Prerequisites
Candidate must possess a high school diploma or GED Candidates must interview and have department approval Candidates must meet required test scores to TABE and NTMA math & reading assessments prior to enrollment

Machine Operations II

Use of engine lathe, milling machines, grinders. Extensive hands on projects. 
 
Machine Operations Lab I
 ATMT 1120
Standard shop safety practices. Set-up and operate standard manufacturing machines. Complete accurate lay-outs.
