Coronal Polishing Certification Course for Certified Dental Assistants

This course will prepare the Certified Dental Assistant to properly perform a coronal polishing procedure on patients. It is designed to meet the requirement for coronal polishing by CDAs as stated in the Ohio Dental Code. Participants must bring to class safety glasses, a uniform (scrubs) and a completed medical history form. The course consists of three hours of lecture and four hours of clinical experience plus a one hour written test. The candidate must pass the standardized test at 75% to receive certification.
