Women in Transition

The Women in Transition Program at Cuyahoga Community College is leading into its 36th year of providing information, support and referrals to women who are in a transitional time in their lives.

We believe that it is through higher education and/or re-training, that possibilities are endless. Our non-credit eight-week session is designed to take the participant through a period of transformation and empower them to move life-forward through education and training. Our curriculum is based on Personal Development, Career Exploration, Computer Class, and Workshops. This helps women develop confidence, build self-esteem, identify marketable skills, explore interests, research options for careers and job training, and examine Tri-C educational and workforce options. The program is facilitated on 3 Tri-C Campuses throughout the year. Our classes are subject to a slightly fast-tracked format.

Summer Re-Entry Fair
The Women in Transition Program joins our partner Covenant Outreach Through Advocacy and Agency Networking (COTAAN), to host the Re—Entry Fair for Women on Friday, June 20, 2014 from 10am-4pm at the Advanced Technology Training Center on the Metropolitan Campus of Cuyahoga Community College. The Honorable Nancy M. Russo will be the keynote speaker and lunch will be provided by the gracious donation from Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge. Come join us for Workshops, testimonials, and educational and career opportunities. The main objective for the day is to provide essential resources to women as they disassociate themselves from the criminal justice system to become more self-sufficient citizens.
