For Josh, a 2009 graduate of Kent State University
, finding his first teaching job was more like searching for the Holy Grail. He applied to more than 100 teaching jobs while serving as a long-term substitute teacher and working two side jobs. According to Josh, “I saw my friends doing well in IT (information technology) jobs, and I was envious and really started thinking about a career change.”
He made the decision to enroll at Tri-C and turn his hobby into a degree, earning his Associate of Applied Business degree in information technology with a specialization in networking software in December 2012. Josh now has a great job at Hyland Software
as a quality assurance associate, thanks to his degree from Tri-C.
