Tri-C's Terri Hradek wins Medina County women's leadership award
October 18, 2016
Terri Hradek has served as the director of Cuyahoga Community College’s Brunswick University Center since its opening in 2011. As director, she is one of the most visible faces of Tri-C in Medina County and an influential community leader, serving in a critical role as Tri-C continues to expand its presence in the communities to Cleveland’s south.
At an Oct. 5 reception at Williams on the Lake in Medina, Hradek was among a group of local women honored for their leadership and positive influence in the county. Hradek received the 2016 ATHENA Leadership Award for Medina County.
The ATHENA awards, founded by Chicago-based women’s leadership advocacy group ATHENA International, was presented locally by the Medina County Women’s Journal. It honors a local woman leader who has worked to make a positive impact in the community, and in particular, with the community’s female residents.
“The award is given to women who make a positive difference in their communities, and who inspire other women to take on leadership roles,” Hradek says. “I consider myself blessed to work for an organization like Tri-C that allows me to pursue my passions through my work, improving the quality of life for the residents of our area, and hopefully inspiring other women to lead change and help others.”
