Tri-C's Largest Gift Ever Will Support New Mandel Humanities Center
June 08, 2015
The Mandel Foundation and Mandel Supporting Foundations recently gave a gift to Cuyahoga Community College of $10 million, the largest in the College's history, to establish the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Humanities Center.
The center will offer a space for faculty, students and community members to take classes and attend seminars, lectures and special events that foster civic engagement.
“The Mandel Humanities Center was visualized and designed primarily to provide individuals with a strong foundation in the humanities and provide them with the skills and expertise required to take on meaningful leadership roles in the community once they graduated from a college or university,” Tri-C President Alex Johnson told the Cleveland Jewish News.
