December 18, 2015
Former Cuyahoga Community College basketball player Antonio Mason was paralyzed from the waist down in October 2014, when a drunk driver traveling in excess of 100 mph struck hit car.
The upbeat Mason, who is working hard on his recovery and plans to return to College, is featured in a new NHSTA anti-drunk driving video.
The Plain Dealer reports: "He is shown watching Tri-C basketball practice, which he attends often. He was on the sidelines for the Challengers' dramatic overtime win Wednesday. There also are images of Mason's destroyed car, which was thrown into a utility pole, as well as Mason in grueling physical therapy sessions, and holding Antonio Jr."
