Administration & Finance has undergone a year of evolution and opportunity while remaining focused on processes and fiscal responsibility. The former Finance and Business Services (FBS) and Administration groups have united to create one Administration and Finance division. These changes in organizational structure have resulted in improved efficiency, methodology, and superior service delivery for all areas. The new division has also been able to expand our support of student success through a closer working relationship with Academic and Student Affairs.
Tri-C is the first higher education institution in Ohio and the only one in the country to obtain all three of the Government Finance Officers Association’s (GFOA) awards in the same year. The College was awarded the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award, the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, and the Popular Annual Financial Reporting Award. Obtaining these awards was part of the goals for A&F in FY09 and this achievement acknowledges that the College’s financial reporting and management practices are best practices in Ohio.
Cuyahoga Community College is proud of our new financial reports and I am pleased to share the CAFR and PAFR with the community. These documents will assist citizens and taxpayers in understanding how their tax dollars are being spent to educate our students.
Sincerely,
Dr. Craig Foltin, CPA
