About the Program
The Plant Science and Landscape Technology program prepares students for careers in the "original green industry." The green industry is, and has been, one of the fastest growing industries in the country. Tri-C’s program will provide you with a solid background to achieve your goals, whether they are to own your own landscaping business, become a key staff member of an existing company, or to work in a botanical garden or greenhouse.

Why Tri-C? Because our Plant Science and Landscape Technology program students ranked #1 in the nation for 2-year programs participating in PLANET Student Career Days 2014. During 3 days and 28 events competing against 65 two and four year programs, Tri-C students excelled. And it's a Tri-C student who took top honors as the #1 student in the nation among all 753 participants. Need more reason? Schedule a visit today to meet faculty and staff and discuss your options for a stable and rewarding career and the education to make it happen.

The program offers an associate of applied science degree with two options:

  • Option A: prepares students for careers in landscape design/build.
  • Option B: prepares students for careers in retail garden center and nursery management.
