Description: Advanced black and white digital photographic principles, theory and techniques as related to the digital black & white master print, with emphasis on refinement of conceptual exploration and technical skills. The student will develop critical skills necessary for self-evaluation and their ability to use criticism constructively in the evaluation of other photographer's works and build on their understanding of aesthetic issues within the medium. Student owned digital SLR camera with manual ISO, aperature and shutter-speed controls. Department loaned cameras available on a limited basis.
Prerequisites: VCPH-1260 Introduction to Digital Photography and VCPH-1450 Digitial Imaging I or concurrent enrollment.
