Description: Introduction to specific computer software utilized in law offices including calendaring, billing, docketing and indexing programs. Involves using word processing, spreadsheet and data software to create and manage legal documents and files. Activities constructed to simulate law office experiences and tasks. Designed for student already conversant with basic functions of word processing, database management, and spreadsheet design. Focus on use of computers related to paralegal functions in timekeeping, docket control, litigation support, and case management.
Prerequisites: IT-1010 Introduction to Microcomputer Applications, or departmental approval: equivalent experience or skills.
