Description: Apply theory and techniques required by medical assistant to perform fundamental clinical assisting procedures in physician's office, clinic, family practice center or hospital. Perform procedures used in patient examination including medical asepsis, vital signs, positioning and draping, and measuring height, weight and visual acuity. Demonstrate principles and practices in aseptic techniques which include sanitation, disinfection and sterilization. Prepare and maintain examination room and assist with exam. Provide patient education and appropriate interaction that is sensitive to the needs of diverse populations and special needs.
