Description: Theoretical and technical knowledge required to operationally perform functions of emergency medical dispatcher. Radio and telephone techniques, dispatching, triage and prioritization procedures and pre-arrival medical instructions. Radio equipment and FCC regulations governing use of VHF and UHF radio frequencies.
Prerequisites: EMT-1301 Emergency Medical Technician-Basic, or departmental approval.
