Description: Introductory course to most common solid-state devices used in electronic circuits: diode, bipolar transistor, field effect transistor, and uni-junction transistor. Graphical and analytical DC and AC analysis of various electronic circuits used. Computer circuit analysis program Pspice used to predict DC voltages and currents and frequency response of different circuits. Laboratory experiments reinforce topics studied in lecture.
Prerequisites: EET-1210 AC Electric Circuits, or ATTC-1340 AC Circuits/Telephony; and MATH-1360 Technical Mathematics or MATH-1620 Calculus II or concurrent enrollment.
Hours: 3 Lecture: 2 Lab: 2
