DMS2401: DMS-2401: Abdominal Sonography II

Description: Continuation of normal anatomy and anatomic variants, physiology, pathology, and pathophysiology of the abdominal cavity and the retroperitoneum to include renal, adrenal, splenic, and lymphatic, as it pertains to diagnostic ultrasound. Normal anatomy and anatomic variants, physiology, pathology and pathophysiology of superficial structures to include the breast, neck, thyroid, and male reproductive system. Study of Doppler and Color Flow vascular applications of above mentioned organs and systems. Introduction to scanning of the carotid artery and lower extremity venous vasculature.

Prerequisites: DMS-1401 Abdominal Sonography I; and concurrent enrollment in DMS-2300 Intermediate Sonographic Scanning.
