Description: Integrates operational principles and diagnostic skills needed to repair various vehicle electrical systems utilizing electrical concepts and schematics. Charging and starting systems, including interrelated security systems, primary ignition, supplemental restraint (SRS) and lighting systems, are explained and analyzed. Laboratory practice provides student applied knowledge for troubleshooting these systems. Modular courses AUTO-247A and AUTO-247B together will also meet degree requirements for this course.
Prerequisites: AUTO-1500 Automotive Electrical Fundamentals; or AUTO-150A, and AUTO-150B; or departmental approval: industry experience.
