Description: Computer Numerical Control software as tools used to produce machined piece parts, and introduction to machine tool use and applications. Keyboarding and computer operating skills are overlaid with software commands. CNC operations include tool selection, coordinate calculations, feed and speed calculations, and keyboard input of machine sequence operations. The student will be able to visually confirm the machine sequence of operations with the software simulation of the machine functions. The application of fundamental computer skills is incorporated with machine tool operation.
